New Delhi: In view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the assembly elections to be held at the end of this year, the BJP has appointed new presidents in various states. New presidents were appointed in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Jharkhand states.
MP and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy is the new president of Telangana BJP. Kishan Reddy replaces Bundy Sanjay Kumar.
MLA as Chairman of Telangana Election Management Committee Etela appointed Rajender. Rajender is also the first Finance Minister of Telangana. He was previously in BRS and will join BJP in 2021.
D. Purandeshwari is the new president of Andhra Pradesh BJP. Telugu Desam Party founder and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N.T. Purandeshwari is the daughter of Rama Rao.
Former MP who joined BJP from Congress. Sunil Kumar Jakhar will also lead the Punjab BJP. He left the Congress in May last year.
Babulal Marandi, Jharkhand BJP will be the chairman. Babulal, who was the first Chief Minister of the state, is currently the Leader of the Opposition.
A meeting of all state presidents, state general secretaries and state in-charges has been convened on July 7. Party National President J.P. Nadda and National General Secretary B.L. Santhosh will also attend the meeting.
