Bitter exchanges between the prosecutor and Shah Mehmood

During the hearing of the cipher case in Adiala Jail today, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi got angry with the prosecutor and bitter sentences were exchanged between the two.

During the hearing, Shah Mehmood Qureshi came to the rostrum and told that he has agreed with me on the guarantee of the judge. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that nomination papers from NA 150, NA 151 and PP 218 were rejected due to lack of verification.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that I asked for confirmation of the nomination papers, then the judge said, attach my order, despite the order of the judge, my nomination papers were rejected.

On which Justice Abu Al-Hasanat Muhammad Zul-Qarnain said, “Shah Sahib, we have completed the legal procedure.” Meanwhile, when the prosecutor spoke, Shah Mehmood Qureshi got angry.

Shah Mohammad Qureshi said, I am talking about my fundamental rights, why are they speaking in the middle? After which bitter sentences were exchanged between Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said to the prosecutor that you have come from above, who are you, what are your hours? To which the prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi replied to Shah Mehmood Qureshi that what are your hours?

Judge Shah Mehmood Qureshi of the Supreme Court continued to be advised to remain calm.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi submitted a petition against the rejection of nomination papers, on which Judge Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain said that this is your right, we will look into this petition, you will get the rights you have.

During the hearing today, the statements of 6 more prosecution witnesses were recorded in the cipher case, in total, the statements of 25 witnesses were recorded.

The lawyers of founder PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi will start cross-examination of the witnesses from tomorrow. The court adjourned the hearing of the cipher case till tomorrow.
