The price of the cryptocurrency bitcoin rose to $44,635 at 10 am GMT yesterday, compared to $44,591 at 5 pm Saturday, according to data compiled by Bloomberg News.
Bitcoin prices fluctuated with an average of 1.5 percent, trading between $44,286 and $44,947.
The most popular cryptocurrency is down 35 percent from its high on November 10 at $68,992.
Bitcoin added 4.8 percent to its value last week, and has fallen 3.7 percent so far this year.
