BitBoy Crypto: Controversial Arrest Livestream and the Downfall of a Crypto-influencer

Crypto-influencer Ben Armstrong, formerly known as “BitBoy,” was allegedly arrested while livestreaming in front of a former business partner’s house. He suspected her of allegedly taking his Lamborghini car from him. Before the YouTube stream, BitBoy posted that he “will be live soon from a very special location”. Less than an hour later, Armstrong launched a livestream at the residence of consultant and NFT investor Carlos Diaz. It is known that he is also connected with the Hit Network. The entire insane 37-minute #bitboy stream starting from Carlo’s driveway (him on his property) to him ending the stream. @HitNetwork_ @NickDimondi Insane! #crypto @AltcoinDailyio @cryptoblood_ @CryptoSavy1 @atozy pic.twitter.com/3YSd3pRLIm — Ramekin (@iamramekin) September 26, 2023 Armstrong launched into a long monologue, claiming Diaz “wanted to kill him” and suspecting him of that he is connected to the Houston mob. “I’m not afraid of you, Carlos,” he shouted. At the 19th minute, the local police then came out and asked if Armstrong had a gun, which Armstrong denied. He was then told to hang up the phone. The video portion of the broadcast cuts off with 17 minutes remaining, although audio of the conversation between Armstrong and the police can still be heard. According to the list of the Sheriff’s Office of Gwinnett County, Georgia, a certain Benjamin Charles Armstrong was taken into custody on September 25 at 9:11 pm local time. On September 26, Diaz also confirmed that Armstrong showed up at his house. Blockchain analyst “ZachXBT”, not a fan of either actor, said: “We will always celebrate that one of crypto’s most notorious bad faces has finally fallen victim to his own karma.” At the end of August, the Hit Network, which controls the “BitBoy Crypto” brand, cut ties with its public face, Ben Armstrong. They cited Armstrong’s inability to work with him because of his substance abuse problems and the financial damage he caused to employees. Since then, several lawsuits have been filed and withdrawn by the various parties involved. On September 20, Armstrong even asked for donations to cover his lawsuits, which once again outraged the crypto community.
