With his enthusiasm and cheerful smile, the sign language interpreter Bishoy Emad managed to catch the attention of the followers of the shoulder to shoulder celebration yesterday, Friday, and many social media users commented on his presence, especially his translation of the song of the artist Ahmed Saad.
So the seventh day reached out to the translator to find out behind the scenes.
Bishoy Imad told Youm7: “I am 21 years old and I live in Cairo. I was born in a deaf family, my father, mother and sister. We are 6 people, 3 speak and 3 are deaf, so I started learning sign language for their own sake. The main reason I have to learn is because my father lived all his life in suffering.
He continued, “I was feeling great suffering due to the lack of communication. I was very upset if someone calls my family by phone and communication is difficult, so I began to learn myself and be with him in all his work and translate for him, and my father began to send me to anyone who needed help from when I was 13 years old. I started doing voluntary and charitable work.” .
And he continued: “I was nominated for the ceremony from the IBDA initiative. Many people were surprised that I was chosen for a major event, but at that time I felt acceptance and a positive reaction that made me feel joy and amazement.”
And he continues, following the end of the event, I was very happy because of the reaction. People wanted to take a picture with me, there are many people who do not know me, but they want to take a picture with me. After that, I found the social media turned on me. by people’s words.
And he says: “I felt this moment, and this is an important message for the presence of a sign interpreter in every need, and I thank President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. It is true that we have a human president. I imagined that the matter would end with a post on Facebook in which I thank people. Interaction”.
