Bishop-designate Mon. Aldo Beradi’s consecration at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia


Manama: Appointed Vicar Apostolic of Northern Arabia, Mon. Aldo Beradi O.SS. T’s ordination will take place on Saturday at 10am at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia in Awali, Bahrain.

Camillo Balin MCCJ, Bishop of North Arabia, was ordained on April 20, 2020, and was succeeded by Pope Francis on January 28, Mon. Aldo was appointed Vicar Apostolic of Northern Arabia.

Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuzo Guixot MCCJ, prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for Interreligious Dialogue, will officiate at the liturgy, which will begin at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Vatican News Archbishop Eugene Martin Nugent and Apostolic Administrator Bishop Paul Hinder OFM Cap will be concelebrants.

Mon was born on September 30, 1963 in France. Aldo joined the Trinitarian Order at the age of twenty-three. On July 20, 1991, he received Tiruppattam and became a priest. After obtaining a Licentiate in Moral Theology in 1992, he served as the director of the Spiritual Center in Serfoid, France until 1998. From 2000 to 2006, he served in Cairo, Egypt, where Sudanese refugees were sheltered. From 2007 to 2019, he served at the Sacred Heart Church in Manama under the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia.

Since 2019, the Holy Father Mon has been serving in the highest position of his monastic order. Aldo is appointed Vicar Apostolic of Northern Arabia.
