Bio Mundo strengthens presence at ABF Franchising Expo 2023 with accelerated expansion

Healthy food and sports nutrition chain, with more than 150 stores spread across the 18 states of Brazil, presents franchise models and benefits to new franchisees at the largest sector fair in the country
Brazil, June 2023: Bio Mundo is present at ABF Franchising Expo, a franchise fair, from July 28 to 1, 2023, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.

At the event, the brand will present a franchise model with a reduced size of 40m². In this model, it will be possible to reduce investment and maintain the variety and mix of products. All Bio Mundo units have the differential of being adaptable according to the reality of the place, whether in the street, mall, airport, shopping centers, galleries and hypermarkets.

Brazilian franchise network

The network that was born in Brasilia is the one that grows the most nationally through franchises and aims to provide the consumer with the widest possible variety of products in one place, promoting health and well-being through full access to a healthy diet. healthy. In 2022, the franchise was the only one in the sector awarded the Seal of Excellence in Franchising given by the Brazilian Association of Franchises (ABF).
Currently, the units have a portfolio that includes bulk, diet, light, wholemeal, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, functional, vegetarian items, which add up to an average of 3,000 products on the shelf and more than 300 bulk options. A diversification that allows it to attract even more customers and, consequently, guarantee greater revenue for its franchisees, following all, approximately 20% of revenue comes from bulk.

Bio Mundo is present in 18 states

The chain, founded in 2015, stood out during the pandemic, has more than 150 active stores in 18 Brazilian states and intends to reach the number of 170 closed contracts by the end of this year. Currently, mall operations represent 53% of Bio Mundo franchises, but the brand also intends to expand in streets, hypermarkets, airports and other commercial locations, with a minimum initial investment of 350 thousand reais and return on investment between 18 and 36 months.

Own brands as a differential

The company sets aggressive growth targets for this year. It plans revenues of R$210 million in 2023, equivalent to almost 15% compared to 2022.
One of the chain’s main differentials are its own brands, which have brought personality to the company, transforming it into more than a reference store in the market. The brands are: Bio365 offers healthy, practical and quality supplementation, with products for daily use to maintain the body’s health; Natureza Mix has a variety of functional and natural products; and BIOWAY, recently launched, aimed at pre- and post-workout sports nutrition – an additional investment in creating and improving alternatives to offer consumers more options, with better quality and competitive prices, generating greater profitability for franchisees.
