Arizona students often don’t stay in town to work, so efforts are being made to recruit neighboring talent to fill these positions.
TIJUANA, Baja California, March 17, 2023.- Given the need for engineers in the city of Yuma, Arizona, a binational job bank was offered with the different universities of Baja California and Sonora, said the director of Greater Yuma Economic Development , Karime Hayer.
He mentioned that the project has been providing opportunities for Mexicans for five years, because Arizona students do not usually stay in the city to work, therefore, they make efforts to summon neighboring talent and fill these vacancies.
Some of the participating educational institutions are CECATI, Polytechnic, UABC and Northern Arizona University, however, there is also a job bank open to anyone who wishes to work on the other side of the border.
