Pop star Billie Eilish became the youngest solo headliner to wow her fans last night at the legendary Coachella festival in Southern California. She was so “damn grateful” to appear here, said the 20-year-old. A dream has come true. It feels “crazy”.

At the end of her show, she thanked the cheering fans and quipped, “Sorry, I’m not Beyonce.” In 2018, superstar Beyonce became the first black woman to headline Coachella with a major stage show.

Eilish and her brother Finneas performed over two dozen songs, according to Variety. At times, the singer floated above the audience in a crane. As guests, she brought US singer Khalid and British Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn on stage for songs together.

Eilish stormed the charts when she was 17 with her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? her second album “Happier Than Ever” was released last year. At the end of March she won the Oscar with her song “No Time To Die” for the Bond film “No Time to Die”.

The Coachella festival in California was canceled twice because of the pandemic, and now the mega concert with stars like Eilish, Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat is taking place once more for the first time since 2019. The first festival weekend with dozens of artists opened on Friday near the desert city of Indio. The second is scheduled to take place from April 22nd to 24th.
