In May, a rep for the Happier Than Ever author confirmed that she and The Neighborhood singer had split after dating for seven months and “remain good friends.”
During a Q&A with fans on her Instagram Stories over the weekend, the musician gave an update on her relationship status when asked if she was dating anyone.
“NO SIRRRRR (sic),” she replied, along with three smiley face emojis.
The Bad Guy singer was then asked about her relationship with Jesse, and she replied, “Very, very good friends only. My friend forever”.
Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford, 31, began dating in October 2022 and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the LACMA Art + Film Gala the following month, for which they wore matching Gucci outfits .
The singer opened up about her relationship for the first time in public during an interview for Vanity Fair published last November, and revealed that she had actually sued Jesse.
“It’s really cool, I’m very excited and very happy,” she said at the time. “I managed to get not only to be known to a person I thought was the most fucking handsome guy on earth, but also to get in his face!” SO ? I am applauded? Thanks, Jesse Rutherford, everyone. It’s me. I did it. I got it ! “.
