Brian Beck, previously Spokesman of the Adeg Board, will be in charge of the new “Wholesale and Merchants” department.
The Rewe subsidiary Billa integrated its sister Adeg on July 1, 2022, creating a joint wholesale department called “Wholesale and Merchants”: “With this step, we are strengthening, bundling and standardizing our wholesale activities under one responsibility. The Adeg wholesale business and in future also the Billa merchants are looked following from a single source,” says Rewe International AG board member Marcel Haraszti regarding the organizational development and anchoring in the Billa board, which is supplemented by the “Wholesale and merchants” department. The new area will be headed by the former Adeg board spokesman, Brian Beck.
“Within the group, the Adeg merchants are the most important local suppliers in rural areas and will remain so. We are clearly committed to the merchant community, which has a long and successful history with Adeg in Austria and Rewe in Germany and will continue to do so with Bill in the future will make it even more successful,” Haraszti continued.
Independent sales, category management, marketing and shopfitting
Adeg is to be continued organizationally as a separate unit in the Billa wholesale department with the business areas of independent retail and cooperation partners with independent sales, category management, marketing and shopfitting. Jürgen Öllinger will take over the management as managing director with operational responsibility for Adeg wholesale, the Adeg merchants and the cooperation partners. (jw)
