Bilawal Bhutto is Pakistan’s Foreign Minister; Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan after Eid Bilawal Bhutto Zardari takes oath as Pakistan’s foreign minister

Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Wednesday took over as Pakistan’s foreign minister. President Arif Alvi presided over the ceremony. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif attended the ceremony.

Bilawal’s swearing-in comes a week following he met Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Nawaz Sharif in London. The PPP is the second largest party in the coalition government. Meanwhile, former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is in London, will return to Pakistan following a short feast. The announcement was made by Mian Javed Latif, a senior Muslim League (N) leader and federal minister. The new government renewed his passport yesterday.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government has filed a number of corruption cases once morest Nawaz Sharif. Meanwhile, in November 2019, the Lahore High Court allowed him to travel to London for four weeks for treatment. If he does not return, he may attend rallies organized by the Muslim League.
