Lahore Police has filed a case against singer Bilal Saeed and actress Saba Qamar for violating the sanctity of the mosque.
A case was filed against the two actors in Akbari Gate Police Station of Lahore after the order of the Sessions Court in the complaint of Advocate Sardar Manzoor Chandio.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed, a case was filed against Bilal Saeed and Saba Qamar under Section 295 P following the order of the Sessions Court.
The lawsuit alleges that the duo had ‘desecrated’ the mosque in the video of their song ‘Qoob‘ and the videos and pictures of their song went viral on social media, hurting people’s sentiments.
In the FIR, it was said that strict action should be taken against all the employees of the mosque administration and the endowment department, including Bilal Saeed and Saba Qamber, who are involved in ‘defiling the sanctity’ of the mosque, so that no one does such a thing in the future.
The police filed a case and handed over the investigation of the matter to Sub-Inspector (SI) Zulfiqar.

It should be noted that Bilal Saeed and Saba Qamar’s song ‘Qoob’ was released only three days ago, which did not include the scenes filmed in Lahore’s historic Wazir Khan Mosque.
A short teaser of the song was released earlier, showing the duo performing the Nikah ceremony at the Wazir Khan Masjid.
However, a short video clip of the teaser was heavily criticized by social media users who accused Bilal Saeed and Saba Qamar of dancing in the mosque and playing music in the background.
After such allegations, an application was filed in the Sessions Court of Lahore to take action against both of them, on which the court ordered to file a case against both of them after the preliminary hearing.
After being heavily criticized by people, the duo had apologized for the photoshoot in the mosque, explaining that they did not dance in the Wazir Ali Khan mosque, nor did background music play during the scenes shot in the mosque.
At the same time, the duo also announced that the scenes shot in the mosque would be removed from the song, and the song that was later released did not include any scenes shot in the mosque.
