A motorcyclist died in a traffic accident in Vreren, near Tongeren, on Sunday followingnoon around 4.45 p.m.

On Luikersteenweg, a car collided with two motorcycles, near the intersection with Kerselarenstraat.

Emergency services quickly rushed to the scene, but for one of the bikers no help might be forthcoming. The other motorcyclist was released with minor injuries.

Local police in the Tongeren-Herstappe area closed the area.
