On December 13, it was reported that the member of BTS, Suga, will be assigned to serve as a public service worker. Specific enlistment plans, such as the timing of the enlistment, have not been disclosed. In response to the reports, a BIGHIT MUSIC representative shared, “The BTS members plan to serve in the military sequentially according to their own plans. It is difficult to confirm the personal information of the artist.”
After the reports surfaced, it was speculated that Suga was assigned to be a public service worker due to undergoing a surgery in 2020. At that time, the agency issued an official statement explaining the reason for making the decision to undergo surgery. In the statement, it was mentioned that “Suga also felt it was important for him to restore his good health to prepare for his mandatory military service, as well as his post-service music career.
