Many alarming revelations have come out regarding the childhood of Manoor Farooqui, the stand-up comedian who headlined the Indian reality show Bigg Boss Season 17.
Bigg Boss Season 17 came to an end yesterday, with Manoor Farooqui winning a car, Rs 50 lakh and a trophy as prize money. Manoor Farooqui has made many revelations regarding his childhood in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation.
Born in 1992 in Junagadh, Gujarat, Munoor Farooqui said his house was destroyed in the 2002 Gujarat riots.
After which he came with his family to Dongri area of Mumbai. After his mother’s death, he sold pottery and worked as a graphic artist as a child.
Manoor’s friend Balraj Singh Ghai is the founder of ‘The Heritage’, an organization that organizes comedy shows. According to Balraj Singh Ghai, once a stand-up comedy scene was supposed to be shot on the set of an advertisement, but the producers did not have anyone present. Seeing Manoor there, he was offered and he did excellent stand-up comedy, following which he not only entered the world of comedy, but also gained great fame.
There was a lot of discussion regarding the words of a woman named Ayesha, who appeared in the Bigg Boss show, regarding Manorfarooqi. Manorfaruqi’s reputation was also significantly damaged by his arrival.
Manoor Farooqui said that ‘I never gave up hope but there was a moment when I got lost but still I never gave up hope of winning the show’.
He added, ‘There was a time during the Bigg Boss house when I felt that I have to fix some things before reaching the destination because if my car has a puncture, I can’t go ahead. I stopped, fixed the car and then moved on.’
Manwar Farooqui was a part of this show for more than three months. During this time, he sometimes made the fans laugh and sometimes made them cry.
In 2022, Manwar Farooqui won the first season of the reality TV show ‘Lock Up’, which was hosted by actress Kangana Ranaut.
