On the banks of the magical Cairo Nile, Counselor Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Egyptian producer Ahmed Badawi, signed an agreement to establish the “Big Time” Fund to sponsor the best Egyptian and Saudi films, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Cairo, Osama Ahmed Al-Naqli.
In a huge press conference to announce the details of the “Big Time” Fund, Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh confirmed that the selection mechanism for producing films within the Fund’s work will be carried out by Ahmed Badawi according to what the Egyptian investors agree upon, and our feeling is that the work will achieve great success.
Al-Sheikh said: We will discuss with investors all the time to reach the best works, and there will be a “bonus” for important works that are produced according to high-quality controls and achieve great public success, indicating that this fund will not contribute to raising the stars’ wages, but rather will remain constant because participation In business, it will be packaged.
He added: “One of the most important works that we are producing now, outside the box in Saudi Arabia, is an 8-episode series written by Mohamed Diab and a writing workshop in which I personally participate. It will be filmed entirely in the Boulevard area, and it will be directed by more than one director, and it will be the talk of the artistic community. Because its cost will exceed 2.5 billion Egyptian pounds.”
Regarding the story of the work, Al-Sheikh confirmed that the work deals with a character similar to a zombie attacking the Boulevard area, and it contains many surprises and we are negotiating with many directors to direct some of its episodes because each director will present approximately two episodes in the work.
