EU Commissioner Thierry Breton on Friday met with US tech industry leaders, including Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook parent Meta, and Sam Altman CEO of OpenAI, to discuss the European Union’s AI regulation. According to Breton agreed Zuckerberg at the meeting endorse the idea of watermarking content created by generative AI. Altman also acknowledged the EU’s approach, praising its “sightedness and seriousness” that might influence the rest of the world.
