Big stage for the 40 junior champions of Upper Austria

Last Friday, the little ones were on the big stage: a large number of young footballers from 40 Upper Austrian junior champions from the previous season were honored in the PlusCity by Governor Thomas Stelzer and OÖFV President Gerhard Götschhofer. “For many of the talented players, the championship award is the first real highlight in their football career, one that they will remember forever. At the same time, such an experience is an incentive for the years to come. We are therefore delighted that we can create this great setting for the event with our partners,” says OÖFV President Gerhard Götschhofer.

Six teams won twice: The youth departments of LASK (U13, U14), Ohlsdorf (U13, U16) and Weißkirchen (U14, U16) as well as the Bad Kreuzen/Pabneukirchen (U14, U15), Friedburg/Pöndorf (U13, U14) and Sternstein Juniors (U14, U16) teams celebrated in two competitions. A varied supporting program was offered to get the championship party in the mood. In addition to a football cage, there was a goal-wall shooting competition and the chance to win prizes on the PlusCity wheel of fortune. The young champions were also able to enjoy autographs from LASK youngster Armin Haider, the Blau-Weiß players Oliver Wähling and Marcel Schantl as well as Ried’s Andreas Leitner.
