This Saturday, as announced, was the last day of opening of Match stores in our region, in Huy in Shopping Batta and in Waremme (Waremme Sud rue de Huy and Waremme Nord place de Gérardmer). They will reopen their doors on April 15 under the CoMarché brand, a brand which currently only exists in Flanders and which belongs to the subsidiary Colruyt Group.
And for this last day, on the occasion of the liquidation of stocks, major promotions were in place, up to -50% or even -70%. The public was able to take advantage of it, notably at the Match store at Shopping Batta in Huy from this Saturday morning until 8 p.m. And I might as well tell you that there was practically nothing left on the shelves!

Maguy Étienne, who has lived in Huy for a year, comes from time to time to do his shopping at the Match in Huy. “I just walk. And this followingnoon, I took advantage of a promotion since I bought a small bottle of champagne at half price. There was no longer a large bottle of champagne! I’m going to drink it with my husband. It feels good to give yourself a little pleasure from time to time,” admits Maguy. “I go once a month to Colruyt in Ben-Ahin to do my big shopping. And to access it currently, it is not easy. If the CoMarché which will replace the Match has the same prices as the Colruyt, I will come to do my shopping here because it is closer to where I live, otherwise I will continue to come here for my extra shopping,” he explains. Sandrine and Jean-Philippe, from Huy, accompanied by their daughter Élisa (5 years old), also took advantage of the big reductions this Saturday. “We took the opportunity to buy half-price alcohol, other drinks, pasta, sugar, crisps, toothbrushes and games for Elisa,” they say. “I work next to the Match, so I often come to do little last-minute shopping. We are more or less loyal customers,” admits Sandrine.

Félicité, from Modave, works at the CHR in Huy. “It was a colleague who warned me of the major promotions planned for this Saturday in the store. I came to do some shopping for a little over €200 which only cost me €100! I bought alcohol, sugar, laundry products, pampers, soup, … but there was no more water, milk or cheese,” she regrets. . “And I will come back to CoMarché,” she concludes.
