Big prize for women who have 13-13 children in South Korea – Life & Style

Two women from South Korea have been awarded gold medals.

According to a foreign report, in South Korea, where the birth rate is declining rapidly, the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the government awarded two women with Civilian Service Medals for having 13 children each.

Eum Gee-suk, a 60-year-old woman, was awarded the Si Yongnyo Medal, the fifth class award for civil merit, the report said. This award is given to those who have contributed and supported the country’s politics, economy, society, education.

According to sources, the Civil Merit Medal, which was awarded to the other woman, 59-year-old Lee Yong-mi, is given to people who have made a difference through achievements and donations or by risking their own lives to save the lives of others or for public service. They contribute to the welfare of the country by devoting their lives.

The report added that Ayom gave birth to five sons and eight daughters between 1986 and 2007. While in Lee’s house, the first child was born at the age of 23 and the last child was born at the age of 44.

The East Asian country is battling a rapidly falling birth rate and is introducing programs to encourage parents to have more children. In 2022, the country’s fertility rate had reached an all-time low of 0.78, which is very low globally.
