Former US President Donald Trump has revealed that he shared classified information regarding US nuclear submarines with an Australian businessman.

The foreign news agency “AFP” said with reference to the American media report that the former American president said this during a meeting at the private club in Florida, Mara Lago, following leaving office.

The businessman was identified as billionaire Anthony Pratt, who heads one of the world’s largest packaging companies, the New York Times reported, citing sources.

Later, Anthony Pratt shared sensitive information regarding US submarines with others, including more than a dozen foreign officials, his employees and Journalists are included.

Sources told The Times that information provided by Donald Trump might potentially threaten the US nuclear fleet.

Federal prosecutors are already investigating Donald Trump’s handling of classified documents following he left office, and have interviewed Anthony Pratt twice regarding the incident, the report said.

Prosecutors may call Anthony Pratt to testify in the classified documents case once morest Donald Trump, which begins in Florida next May.

According to the ABC report, Anthony Pratt met with Trump at his Palm Beach club in April 2021, and told the former president that he thought Australia should start buying submarines from the US.

In response, Donald Trump told the businessman how many nuclear warheads US submarines typically carry, and how close they can get to Russian submarines without being detected, the report added.

In addition to the classified documents case, Donald Trump is also facing indictment in other cases, including one federal and one Georgia case related to tampering with the election and remaining in office. Also in 2016, a porn star has been indicted in connection with the payment.

Donald Trump is on trial in New York on charges of fraudulently inflating the value of his assets in order to get better loans from banks and insurance companies.
