In addition to releasing the horror film Thaghut on August 29, 2024, Leo Pictures announced several of their latest project titles ranging from films to series. One of them is a film titled Bila Esok Ibu Tiada.
The film, which is an adaptation of the novel, will feature famous stars such as Christine Hakim, Slamet Rahardjo, Adinia Wirasti, Amanda Manopo, and Fedi Nuril. Rudi Soedjarwo will direct the film, with Agung Saputra as producer.
“Indonesian audiences like films that relate. “I just read it and burst into tears,” said producer Agung Saputra in a press release received by Media Indonesia, Thursday, (26/7/2024).
For director Rudi Soedjarwo, Bila Esok Ibu Tiada is a unique film. Rudi also added that Agung Saputra and Leo Pictures entrusted the work to Rudi and the production team and the cast by providing sufficient space and time.
Amanda Manopo, said that this film is able to represent the feeling of loss of a child towards his mother. Amanda, who in real life has lost her mother, plays Kania.
“The thing that made me interested in joining this film was because relate “Very much. I can feel the story so close. My mother is no longer here. It’s like voicing my heart when the children are already busy,” said Amanda Manopo.

“The first time, there was a really crying scene in the scenario, that’s something I never do in real life but I spilled it there,” he continued.
Fedi Nuril, who has always been associated with polygamous male characters, is a little relieved. Because, even though there are four female characters, he only has one wife in this film.
“This is a different and challenging film. In this film there are four women, but my wife is only one. Usually at least two, hehehe,” joked Fedi Nuril.
“Acting must be very natural because the approach that Mr. Rudi wants is documentary. What makes me interested is because usually it’s a love or romantic drama but here there is a sibling relationship that must also be good,” he said. (Z-11)
