London (dpa) – The Brit pop band Oasis is also giving two concerts in Australia on their comeback tour in 2025. The group around brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher is scheduled to perform in Melbourne on October 31, 2025, and in Sydney on November 7, as the band announced. Advance ticket sales begin next Tuesday (October 15th).
“We come. You are very welcome. Oasis will tour Australia in 2025!” said the band’s social media accounts. Oasis quoted from the well-known song “Down Under” by the group Men At Work.
Noel and Liam Gallagher announced in the summer that they wanted to be on stage together again next year. The band from Manchester, which had a musical influence on the 1990s with songs like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, split up 15 years ago after the brothers had an argument.
Oasis plans to play more than 15 concerts in the UK and Ireland, as well as more in Canada, the US and Mexico. The industry magazine “NME” reported at the end of September that performances were also planned in the East Asian cities of Seoul, Tokyo and the South American cities of São Paulo, Santiago and Buenos Aires.
