Space industry
The space industry is a dynamically growing sector in which start-ups can also play an important role. The State Secretary for Industrial Policy said this on Wednesday in Budapest.
In his speech at the opening of the specialist conference Fabian Gergely indicates that global space industry revenue will increase from $425 billion to over $1,100 billion by 2040. Hardly any other industry is growing so quickly. The Ministry of Economic Affairs wants to help develop sources of financing for the development of the space industry and ensure participation in international exhibitions. Hungary’s ambitions in the space industry are ambitious and should be heard internationally.
The Ministerial Representative for Space in the Ministry of Foreign Trade, Orsolya Ferencz, explained that they wanted to realize the latent potential in the space industry together with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and in accordance with the goals of the national space strategy. The space industry is a crisis-proof industry whose importance is increasing. She said Hungary must also act “proactively” in this area. The EU Council Presidency in the second half of the year is a good opportunity for this.
