Metal and foaming beer somehow belong together. Live your unbridled love for both Biersbreaker now since 2010 out. The band name is made up of Danish Beers and the English Breaker together, which already exhaustively explains most of the lyrics. The fivesome from the Basque country sings merry battle songs or just celebrates the existence of the beer.

The debut, so to speak the first musical sip, was put on the table in 2012. This was followed by an EP called Drunken Bards, but also some changes in the cast. The change to Much on vocals was probably the acoustically most important cut in 2017. With the new men on board, the second long player became The Power Of The Hammer released in 2021.

Battle cry of the Vikings

The current EP Reshout For War is actually not a new work, because all four songs were already on the first album from 2012. Due to the line-up changes and the flowing musical developments, these four songs sound completely different today than in the original version.

Aside from an improved production, the vocals have probably changed the most. The new versions all tend more towards folk and are presented with a powerful chest voice. The croaky and almost black-metallic chants were replaced by melodic death vocals.

The EP starts perfectly with the Viking anthem Crossing The Abyss. Here epic melodies sound on a pounding rhythm basis. The opener is peppered with melodies and supporting folk elements. The following is much more violent Shout For War hence. Much the fast number dominates with his organ, which alternately roars epic, then croaks once more.

Raises The Glasses

The battle seems over and victory is assured. This is the only way to explain the following drinking songs in song three and four. After vigorous beginning contains Biersbreaker a perfect folk part and turns into a metallic swaying and celebration part. No further words are needed, only the guitars still have their solo work to do.

Badly hit makes itself The Sons Of Beer on the way. Much sings for two, because he sometimes sings throatily, then roars vigorously once more. Nevertheless, this song is probably the least dramatic and most varied in direct comparison with the numbers already heard. The Sons Of Beer is a straight skull splitter and equal to another beer following a drunk night.

If you are in a party mood and want to empty the drinking horn to loud singing, you can use the Reshout For War completely in one piece HERE listen as background music. Cheers!

Conclusion
Die Biersbreaker have on Reshout For War placed a short and strong sip on the table. What I like best are the epic, folky parts, which create a party mood and a good atmosphere. 7 / 10
