Bienne leader, Ajoie terrace Fribourg-Gottéron

Thanks to its 2-0 victory once morest Genève-Servette, Bienne is leader of the National League following two days. Fribourg-Gottéron fell to Ajoie (2-4). Lausanne wins in Davos (4-3 pens).

With its offensive armada, Genève-Servette came back empty-handed from its trip to Seeland. Despite all the high-sounding names that make up their offensive, the Geneva team only scored two goals in two games. Nothing to jump to the ceiling. Against Biel, the real scoring opportunities were not so numerous. Linus Omark seemed unimaginative once morest Biel, to say the least effective in numerical superiority. Gaëtan Haas and Timo Kessler with the judicious collaboration of Pietro Cunti made the difference 5 once morest 4. Like last season, Bienne has six points following two matches.

A Tim Wolf on fire in the added cage plunged Gottéron into doubt. Christian Dubé’s players probably did not imagine scoring a point following two days of having met Ambri-Piotta and Ajoie. A half-mast attack – despite a shot stat of 46-25 in favor of the Fribourgeois – once morest the Jura goalkeeper precipitated defeat. The Ajoulots have always led in this game. Leduc and Devos gave a two-goal lead. Christoph Bertschy reduced the score well but Frossard alone in front of Connor Hughes scored the crucial 3-1 (27th). If Friborg was able to come back thanks to Wolf’s only mistake on a shot from Walser (47th), Macquat ensured success in the empty cage.

Kovacs double

With Punnenovs in goal, Lausanne did not come back empty-handed from the long trip to Grisons. However, John Fust’s players had to erase a two-goal disbursement following a rather catastrophic start. Rasmussen opened the scoring following just 42” of play before Stransky doubled the lead in the 6th minute. A double from the Swede Robin Kovacs including a remarkable wrist shot on the 2-2 (39th) made it possible to return to the height of the Davosiens. The Vaudois once more came back to score by Damien Riat in the 52nd despite the loss of their Austrian striker, Michael Raffl injured in the 35th.

In the penalty shoot-out, the Lausanne residents secured a second point thanks to Riat and Kovacs, who were definitely on fire.

The defending champion Zug has long been abused by the Langnau Tigers (5-3). The Emmentalois, without complex, did not lead 2-0 thanks to successes from Weibel and Pesonen, and even 3-1 following a goal from defender Tim Grossniklaus (27th). The Zugois returned to parity before the end of the second period by Djoos and Martschini before making the difference in the final third.

Ambri-Piotta got off to a flying start in the Championship. After beating Fribourg-Gottéron, the Leventins ‘atomized’ Bern (5-1), which is already trailing at the bottom of the standings.
