When the “Bien vivre ensemble” association, created 9 months ago in Wattrelos, meets, it does not go unnoticed! Already having 350 members, it is preparing numerous projects and attracting more and more people. The reason ? A certain idea of fraternity. And also the personality of its president, Nora Miloudi. You will meet her this weekend at the Wattrelos association fair.

Make people smile

The meetings of the Bien vivre ensemble association mobilize once a month up to 150 people, out of the 350 members, at the Mousserie social center. Sometimes you have to put the chairs outside in the courtyard so as not to be cramped. “We have around 40 more registrants per month! » rejoices President Nora Miloudi. This association, born at the end of 2022, is a hit. For what ?

First, his activities are attractive. What does she suggest? The common thread of the proposals is the fight against isolation. “I want to help make people’s dreams come true, make them smile,” adds the president.

Travel, very popular

What we like the most are the trips offered on a turnkey basis, some of which are a dream: one group is preparing for Thailand, another for New York in 2024! “People can pay in 10 to 15 installments, we get organized. Some have never gone on vacation,” explains the team. There are also closer destinations: Mont Saint-Michel, Paris, Brittany…

A cruise is eagerly awaited in May 2024 (in the Mediterranean). “You can register alone, we meet people! » said Nora. “And if you have problems printing your documents, say so, we’ll take care of it. It’s about offering things that other associations don’t do. »

There is also a certain atmosphere, linked to the team led by the bubbly and maternal Nora Miloudi. Former manager of a social center in Lambersart, she knows the importance of proximity and simplicity. Today working for social cohesion in Estaimpuis in Belgium, she does not let down her hometown, Wattrelos. “I have been asked for a long time to create an association,” she smiles.

The veterans of the Redoute, but not only

The fifty-year-old has an address book as long as her arm, and a reputation forged during her years of work and union at Redoute. She fought during the big wave of layoffs in 2014, being part of the “Redoubtables” who put on a play on this publicized social conflict. Many former employees of La Redoute have joined “Bien vivre ensemble”, happy to see each other again. “We were like a big family, we miss that,” says a member.

But the association is much more than a club of former employees in isolation. It is open to everyone, Nora makes sure of it. “I am also attentive to the inclusion of people with disabilities, they too have projects. »

Nora Miloudi and her team members also want to listen to needs: “We want people to give their ideas, we will help them, they are actors in this association”.

Solidarity

Solidarity is also at the heart of “Living well together”: in January 2024, a major solidarity celebration is being prepared with the Solid’aide collective, with a food collection. “We are also preparing the creation of a solidarity mutual with a partner, to help people get better care. » The contribution is also for all budgets, with €5 per year!

Proof of this spirit: the promotion of young people from the Maison pour tous in the Mousserie district. They are preparing two humanitarian trips: one to Senegal to plant trees, and another to Algeria to renovate a school and clean the beach. “We offered to prepare a meal for us to help them financially. Young people are doing great things! »
