Biden: The United States was not aware of the Israeli attack on the southern suburb of Beirut and did not participate in it

The Pentagon confirmed that Israel had not informed it in advance of its operation in Beirut and was not involved in it.

It was reported that the US Secretary of Defense made contact with his Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant, after the Beirut attack.

The Pentagon explained that it has no specific information to provide now regarding the Beirut attack.

The Israeli army announced that it attacked the central headquarters of the Lebanese faction movement, which it claimed was located under residential buildings in the heart of the suburb of Beirut, and one of the targets of the attack was Secretary-General Nasrallah.

Israeli media reported that the recent raids on the southern suburb were carried out using 2,000-pound bombs that penetrated the fortifications.

The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth claimed that the attack took place after receiving intelligence information about Hassan Nasrallah’s arrival at the party’s headquarters in the southern suburb.

The Hebrew Channel 13 reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved from New York the massive attack on Haret Hreik in the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

International news agencies confirmed that the Secretary-General of the Lebanese faction movement is alive and in a safe place, and what the Israeli media is reporting about his death is not true.

For its part, the Lebanese factions confirmed in a statement, “There is no truth to any statement or statement that occurred regarding the Zionist terrorist attack on the Haret Hreik area in the southern suburb, and anything is published exclusively by media relations.”

In addition, Lebanese media said on Friday evening that at least two people were killed and about 50 others were injured in the Israeli bombing.
