Biden narrows Trump’s lead in swing states, Bloomberg poll finds

Bloomberg together with Morning Consult surveyed 4 thousand 902 registered voters in the states considered as “swing” from July 1 to 5 with a margin of error of one percent, according to their calculations.

This poll focused only on seven of the most undecided states in the United States, which revealed that Trump leads the American president by a adjusted 47% to 45%, the smallest difference for the former president since Bloomberg began analyzing the voting climate in those territories in October.

If each one is analyzed individually, the hinge states are as follows:

  • Michigan – 48 % a 43 % a favor de Biden
  • Wisconsin – 47 % a 44 % a favor de Biden
  • Nevada, Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia favor Trump by a margin of between one and three percent

13% of respondents said Biden had won when asked regarding the televised debate.

Also, around the 20% said the current president was mentally fitwhile nearly half said the same regarding Trump.

When it came to the candidates’ age, 44% thought Joe Biden was too old, while only 8% gave the same opinion to Donald Trump.

According to the results of the survey issued by Bloomberg, Three in 10 Democratic voters in these swing states said Biden should drop out of the presidential race.

The Bloomberg poll runs counter to national polls released in recent days, including one from The New York Times/Siena College, showed that Trump had increased his lead and is six percentage points ahead of Biden nationally.
