CNN, however, confirmed the news published by the New York Times and reported that President Joe Biden, speaking privately with one of his closest allies, acknowledged that the next few days will be crucial to understand whether he is still able to save his candidacy. If the outcome is negative, the CNN source reported, Biden would be willing to accept that things “are not working.” The president “understands the moment. His eyes are open,” the source reported. “The polls are falling, fundraising is stalling, and interviews are not going well. He is not unaware,” he added.
