President Biden said in the statement that he had been briefed on the shooting at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania.

“I am grateful to hear that he is safe and well,” he added. “I am praying for him, his family and all who were at the march.”

“Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety,” he continued.

The US President said that there is no place for this type of violence in the United States and we must unite as one nation to condemn it.

Joe Biden indicated in his statement that they are waiting for more information regarding the shooting incident.

Following the statement, Biden said in a speech regarding the assassination attempt on the former president that he had tried to contact Trump and his doctor, adding that he “would like to be able to speak to Trump tonight.”

The US President said that he would not comment on the shooting until he knew the details and facts, stressing that investigations were ongoing to find out the details.

Biden stressed in his speech that there is no place for political violence in the United States and everyone must condemn it.

Earlier, American media reported an assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump during his speech at an election rally in Pennsylvania.

The former president suddenly stopped his speech during the election rally and gunfire was heard at the same moment.

Trump disappeared from the platform and it was not known whether he fell or just hid. He later appeared with security guards and there were traces of blood on his ear.

Our correspondent said that the Secret Service escorted Donald Trump with blood running down his face, noting that he waved to those present to indicate that he was fine.

For its part, the American network “CNN” reported that loud explosions were heard before Trump’s fall.

Trump was confirmed to have been injured in the shooting.

This, and the spokesman for the former US President issued a statement at dawn on Sunday following the assassination attempt on the latter during a speech before an election rally in Pennsylvania, in which he confirmed that Donald Trump is fine.
