Bogusław Linda is one of the most popular Polish actors. Soon he will celebrate 50 years of artistic work, which – as he claims – is a perfect opportunity to… retire. In a recent interview, the “tough guy in chief” of Polish cinema (he owes this status to his roles in the films “Kroll” and “Psy”) declared his willingness to retire. His last film is to be “The Assassination of the Pope” directed by Władysław Pasikowski. The production will hit cinema screens on October 3, 2025.

– From my point of view: Bogusław is probably tired after two strenuous films, when first he had to play in winter clothes and jackets in the heat for a month, and then he starred in an action movie. I hope that this is only a momentary wish and that Bogusław will work until the end of his life – admits the actor’s wife.
The last films on which Bogusław Linda worked were the Polish-Irish-Ukrainian blockbuster “Duel” and the aforementioned “Assassination of the Pope”.
– Bogusław does not complain about the lack of offers. However, it is known that when you are over 70 years old, you have to allocate your strength a little differently. Since he still has a lot of energy, I suppose the body may not be able to keep up with the energy, but I believe that everything will be able to balance. Because the essence of Bogusław’s life is in front of the camera or on stage – emphasizes Lidia Popiel. And jokingly adds: – Don’t let him get away with it!
