The bicycle allowance for commuting will increase from next year, going from 0.27 to 0.35 euros tax-exempt per kilometer.

The federal government will increase the bicycle allowance for commuting from fiscal year 2025 (2024 income). It currently stands at 0.27 euros tax-exempt per kilometer. It will increase to 0.35 euros per kilometer in 2025.

To the increase in this amount will be added a annual tax-free ceiling of 2,500 euros per year. This corresponds to 7,142 kilometers traveled by bicycle, or a round trip to work of 34 kilometers 210 days a year, the government calculated.
