The biathlete of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug team, the winner of the Universiade in Krasnoyarsk in the pursuit race, Dmitry Ivanov, was bitten by a snake during a training session on a bicycle, reported in the telegram channel of the team.

“While it turns out, whether it was a snake or a viper. At the moment the condition is optimal. <...> Let’s wish Dima health and ride less on the grass, ”the message says.

Since June 12, the Ugra team has been holding the second pre-season training camp in Khanty-Mansiysk.

Ivanov is 28 years old. In 2019, the biathlete won the pursuit at the Universiade in Krasnoyarsk and won silver in the sprint. He also has two silver medals at the 2017 Universiade in Alma-Ata.

On June 12, it was reported that five-time Olympic biathlon champion Johannes Boe was bitten by a viper while working in the garden of his home in Kongsvinger in eastern Norway. The athlete immediately went to the doctors.
