New Delhi: Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi said that this is a time of challenges for the country and the Congress. BJP has captured every institution in the country. Sonia Gandhi also said that the economy is in crisis because of the huge freebies given to some industrialists. She was speaking at the Congress Plenary Session.

The successes of 2004 and 2009 and the able leadership of Manmohan Singh clearly gave him satisfaction. Sonia Gandhi said that she is most happy that my innings is coming to an end with the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is a turning point in the Congress.

Party president Mallikarjun Kharge said that BJP tried to disrupt the Congress plenary session. As part of this, ED tests were conducted. Congress leaders were arrested. Congress chief ministers and workers resisted once morest this. Kharge said that we can no longer be afraid.

The Congress also brought political resolutions in the plenary session. The Congress demanded a law to prevent hate-motivated violence. The resolution criticized the Union Law Minister’s statements once morest the judiciary.
