The man has always wanted to explore, to go where no one has gone before. It becomes more and more difficult, but some risk it anyway.
The starting point for this documentary adventure began seven years ago with a black/white photo and the dreams of a man (Bradford Washburn), a photographer who had conquered several mythical peaks (Denali, Everest), and who took his pictures from an airplane with a makeshift setup, intertwined ropes.
This system considerably changed the view of the mountains and the breathtakingly beautiful images (the drone before its time) impressed a young mountaineer, Renan Oztürk. These images also show the greatness of the mountain in the face of the smallness of humans, reduced to tiny dots.
Some admirers and natural heirs of Washburn tell their story here with the objective of crossing the Moose’s Touth (Alaska), never before achieved. It’s a long way to the top as the other would say. This documentary goes back and forth between the present and the past. The exploits of some, the tragedies of others.
The mountain is always a matter of making the right decisions. A nice moment to gain height with these testimonies of men ready to make a lot of sacrifices to realize their dreams accompanied by sublime images.
