[Sing Tao Comprehensive Report]Health Canada issued a warning. More than 30 sexual enhancement products on the market in the GTA may pose serious health risks.
According to CP24, Health Canada said these products may contain ingredients that are not listed on the label, or may contain listed but hazardous ingredients.
The Ministry of Health said the ingredients included prescription drugs that exceeded the maximum recommended dosage.
Unauthorized products sold at stores across Toronto, Scarborough, Etobicoke and Brampton were confiscated.
After testing, the Ministry of Health found that most of these products contained the prescription drugs sildenafil or tadalafil. This is a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction in men.
The Department of Health warns on its website that both drugs may interact with nitrate drugs, increasing the risk of heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure.
Some of the products also contain bark extract of the yohimbe tree, which may cause “serious adverse reactions, especially in people with high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney or liver disease.”
There are products involved on the Health Canada websitefull list。
The Ministry of Health warns that individuals using the products involved should consult a medical professional or discontinue use immediately.
