Beware it..the dangers of drinking too much tea

Follow-up – Suzanne Hassan

Tea is one of the oldest and most widely consumed beverages in the world. The population of our planet – now more than 7.8 billion people – drinks more than 2.16 billion cups of tea daily.

Dr. Farhad Islami confirmed that drinking tea with an amount of more than 700 ml and a temperature of more than 60 degrees Celsius daily may lead to an increase in the risk of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma by 90 percent.

He pointed out that drinking tea should be limited to four cups per day only, as a maximum for lovers of this drink, noting that drinking tea in abundance can contribute to the loss of calcium in the bones, which threatens their thinning.

And Islam stressed that all those who drink tea when it is very hot should get used to waiting until it cools down a little and becomes warm to reduce its damage to the body. He added: “This risk occurs in those who love to drink tea and drink more than ten cups a day, as this drink contains tannins that can interfere with iron absorption, which may also lead to iron deficiency in the body.

Finally, you are well, healthy and peace.
