Bread is one of the main foods that many are keen to have on the dining table daily, but do you know what are the side effects of heating it directly on the stove?
Dr. Sherine Ali Zaki, head of the Food Safety and Field Follow-up Committee at the General Syndicate of Veterinarians, explains that heating bread over direct fire, or what is known as “moonshine bread,” has health damage, especially with the burning of the edges of the bread, or its color changing and turning brown, as it is heated in this way. She provided some simple steps to heat the bread in a way that is safe for the health of family members:

– You can put it in the oven.
– Heating it on the stove fire following placing a bowl or tray to protect it from direct flame.
– In another way, put it on a strainer or tray over a pot of boiling water and heat it over steam.
