Beware companies! WhatsApp Business launches new tools

During the Conversations conference of the Meta company (owner of WhatsApp) this Thursday they announced several important announcements regarding new updates coming to the WhatsApp Business platform (application designed for businesses).

The event was led by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, and the company’s business and product managers, who also spoke regarding this new set of tools, which was designed to create faster, more optimal experiences within the messaging platform .

The first news that was revealed was the opening of WhatsApp for any company worldwide through the WhatsApp Cloud API (Application Programming Interface).

The above means that organizations (big or small) and developers from now on will be able to access this service, build directly on top of WhatsApp to personalize your experience and speed up your response time to customers using the WhatsApp Cloud API hosted on Meta. This service will be free.

“The best business experiences reach people where they are. More than a billion users already connect with a business account through our messaging services every week. These users reach out to ask for help, to find products and services, or to buy anything from high-value items to everyday products,” Zuckerberg said.

But that was not all. Another option that was announced was that new customizable link links will be provided to chat on WhatsApp. For example, the name can now be like this: wa.me/mycompanyname

According to the company, this new way of naming the link will help businesses attract customers through their online presence.

They also announced that they are working on other advanced features for businesses that will help them run their operations beyond just a few people and extend their brand online.

So, are considering the possibility of increasing the ability to manage chats on up to ten devices so they can better handle the influx of online conversations.

Some of the new services that the WhatsApp API will have available will have an additional fee (optional) as part of a new premium service in WhatsApp Business.
