Personal items once owned by Betty White, including a gold watch from her mother, will go up at Julian’s Auctions in Beverly Hills in September.
Awards, paintings, scripts, jewelry and costumes she wore on the red carpet from the homes of White, best known for her role in “The Golden Girls”, were displayed at Julian’s Auctions in Beverly Hills this week.
Martin Nolan, CEO of Julien Auctions, said that this auction represents an amazing life and career, describing it as an auction that expresses a lifestyle. He added that all of the items offered in the auction came from White’s home in Brentwood or from her residence in Carmel, Northern California, where she lived with her husband, Allen Lowden.
According to Nolan, the most important item of her personal belongings is “a 14-karat gold watch gifted to Betty on December 25, 1940, with the initials TCW which, of course, represents Betty’s mother, Tess White.”
Nolan estimates the value of the entire collection at between $1 million and $2 million, and the auction takes place September 23-25 in Beverly Hills.
