Shannen Doherty, famously known for her role in the TV series “Beverly Hills”, passed away at the age of 53 following a lengthy battle with breast cancer, as reported by People magazine on Sunday, citing the publicist of the American actress.

“With a heavy heart, I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer following many years of fighting the disease,” said Leslie Sloane in a press release sent to People.
