ENA Meknes: Start of the academic year, graduation ceremony and launch of structuring projects

  • Start of the 2022-2023 academic year for the benefit of 124 students
  • Inauguration and launch of structuring projects as part of the upgrading and modernization of the establishment’s educational and research infrastructures

The Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mr. Mohammed Sadiki, chaired on Monday, October 03, 20220 in Meknes, the ceremony to start the academic year 2022-2023 at the National School of Agriculture of Meknes. The ceremony took place in the presence of leading scientists, professionals from the agricultural sector, law enforcement officials and a large delegation of ministry officials.

On this occasion, the Minister proceeded to the awarding of diplomas to the winners and the distribution of the prizes of excellence to the winning students. He paid a visit to the various infrastructures created and proceeded to the inauguration and the launch of new structuring projects within the framework of the upgrading and modernization of the educational and research infrastructures of the establishment.

Start of the academic year and presentation of diplomas and awards of excellence

The Minister presided over the ceremony to start the 2022-2023 academic year for first-year students of theENA of Meknès which has 124 students.

In his speech, the Minister welcomed the students and gave his educational, research and development orientations.

As a reminder, the ENA training program takes place over 05 years and offers the possibility of choosing between 06 specializations, with a curriculum designed to give students solid training that meets the needs of agricultural and rural development.

The Minister proceeded to the awarding of diplomas to the winners of the School and to the distribution of the prizes of excellence to the award-winning students for all the promotions.

Inauguration and launch of several structuring projects

On the sidelines of the start of the academic year, the Minister proceeded to the inauguration and the launch of several structuring projects within the framework of the upgrading and modernization of the educational and research infrastructures of the ENA of Meknes.

This is the visit to the Joint Research Laboratory which constitutes a hard core for the promotion of research and innovation between the partners of the IAV-INRA-ENFI-ENAM Consortium. Equipped with modern scientific equipment, the construction of this laboratory required an envelope of 6 million Dhs.

The Minister also visited the 1time section of an automated glazed greenhouse and proceeded to the inauguration of the 2th slice. The greenhouse was built for an overall budget of 3.6 million Dhs. The objective is to provide the Joint Research Laboratory with a demonstration and test platform which houses a large part of the tests of memorizing students, doctoral researchers and the various research teams.

He also launched the project to build a new student residence with a capacity of 196 places for a total cost of 8 million Dhs, to increase the number of students.

In addition, as part of the upgrading of common educational infrastructure and the digitization of ENA teaching and research materials and resources, the Minister took note of the project to build a Multipurpose Information Center, of Documentation and Languages. With a total cost of 11 million Dhs, this project is part of the Generation Green 2020-2030 Strategy and essentially aims to digitize and set up a modern and connected bibliographic offer.

And within the framework of the encouragement of the sports activities of the students, the Minister proceeded to the inauguration of a new sports hall, which has just been fitted out and equipped with new sports equipment.
