In a very hot climate in the province of Río Negro, Guilds and unions maintain their measures of force this week on different fronts.
The State Workers Association (ATE) yesterday called a new provincial strike for today’s day with a cut on the bridge Cipolletti – Neuquén road from 8 in the morning.
The measure arose following «The Executive will order to certify your attendance in the Management Unit of each School Council”, a position that the government of Arabela Carreras had already taken in other union conflicts.
“Carreras’ decision seeks to condition the strike exercise, a right enshrined in the National Constitution”, said the General Secretary of ATE, Rodrigo Vicente.
Besides, Unter continues with the 72 hour strike which began on Tuesday and will continue until this Thursday. The government offered to advance the parity hearing next Friday but on the condition that the strike be suspended.
The teachers union did not accept and maintained the strike, with different activities in the province. In Cipolletti, a popular pot was held at the Provincial Council of Education.
In Roca there was a march of torches and also public classes in squares. In Bariloche, today at noon there will be a open and fly class in Francisco Moreno square.
Governor Carreras ratified that the days will be discounted of teachers who adhere to the claim. «Unter’s measures are not covered by any strike. Absences in Education are unexcused“, he said yesterday.
It also crosses 72 hours strike for the Public Health Union Association (Asspur). Hospital workers demand the reopening of parities with union representation and a salary recomposition that equals the basic basket, among other points.
