KUWAIT CITY: Deputy Director General of Airport Affairs Salih Al Faddagi said that modern systems related to security, information technology and cyber security are working well at Kuwait International Airport. The airport has qualified and skilled workers in this field.

IT services have seen a significant rise in recent years especially during the Corona crisis. He also stated that the system of connecting information online with government institutions is in the final stage.

He said that the online services provided by the airport will include the ability to scan the barcode and enter the website to submit complaints. A system is in place to monitor the quality of services provided to passengers throughout the airport.

Passengers who lose their luggage can submit an application and retrieve it through special electronic devices at the airport or through DGCA’s website. There are 24-hour surveillance cameras throughout the airport.

These help to locate passengers’ belongings if they are stolen. At the same time, Al Faddaghi said that a major procedure is needed to retrieve lost luggage during flight.

Al Faddaghi added that 99 percent of Kuwait International Airport is locals. He stated that there are workers including women in all categories such as operation, maintenance and engineering.
