“Better Call Saul”, the prequel to “Breaking Bad”, returns to Netflix for its final stretch. Six episodes that, starting this Tuesday the 12th, promise to close the cycle of how Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) becomes the unscrupulous lawyer Saul Goodman; as well as solve other mysteries. What regarding Lalo Salamanca? Will Kim Wexler die? What will the connection with Walter White and Jesse Pinkman be like? Here is a brief summary of what happened.
Last
Before he was a lawyer, Jimmy McGill was a small-time con man. The brother of Chuck McGill (Michael McKean), one of New Mexico’s most respected attorneys, Jimmy stumbles upon a giant case surrounding the Sandpiper Nursing Home that might bring him and his clients millions of dollars in profit. Allied with the law firm of HH & M, in which his brother is a partner, he seemed that he would be accepted with the greats of his profession. It is then discovered that Chuck is the one who has been actively working to harm Jimmy. The reason? He despises him for the life he led, he is convinced that he will never change and that becoming a lawyer would be worse for everyone.
To do justice to his girlfriend and fellow attorney Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn), who landed Mesa Verde as a client only to lose it to HH&M, Jimmy discredits his brother Chuck by forging documents. But the expert lawyer records him confessing to the crime. Jimmy wrecks his brother’s house when he finds out the tape exists, but during the trial he comes out as victorious as possible and will only have to stop practicing law for a year. Chuck, on the other hand, is discredited by a health issue. But Jimmy doesn’t stop there, as he conspires to hurt Chuck even more, who is forced to resign from the HH & M studio. Frustrated, Chuck commits suicide.
After an unsuccessful attempt to keep his legitimate earnings from the Sandpiper case, Jimmy becomes more involved with the Juarez cartel; that in previous seasons he had internal problems since Nacho Varga (Michael Mando) tried to leave the business. When the middle management of the cartel Héctor Salamanca (Mark Margolis) suffers a cerebrovascular accident, his nephew Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) appears, a sociopath who, while trying to discover the secret of Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), commits a crime. Who is going to defend him? Jimmy.
The court allows Lalo parole on million-dollar bail, but getting the money requires Jimmy to cross the desert. The lawyer achieves his mission and is saved from a deadly attack thanks to the help of Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), who has orders from Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) for Lalo to escape to Mexico, where a group of hitmen would kill him. But Lalo flees from the attackers of him.

The most awaited connection
The new episodes of “Better Call Saul” will include, for the first time, the participation of the characters Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), the leading duo from “Breaking Bad”. How will the two stories connect?
“To be honest, I’m such a fan of ‘Better Clal Saul’ that initially I didn’t see how they were going to do it. But of course let Vince (Gilligan), Peter (Gould) and the rest of the writers think regarding the perfect shape. It’s fun, I think people are going to be excited,” said Paul.
For his part, Cranston said that his participation was filmed in secret. They were smuggled into New Mexico, where they entered an AirBNB from which they might not leave. “Aaron Paul and I had to coordinate our itineraries to make sure that we would be available when production went on. So a year ago, in April, that’s when we filmed. And because it was a separate section, I don’t know what episode we came out in,” he added.

The present
Jimmy, partly to get his due from Sandpiper and partly to get revenge, plays along with Kim Wexler, his now-wife, to wreck Howard Hamlin’s career; Chuck’s ex-partner. After several instances, the plan is successful, but the injured party knows that it is all a plan to sink him and confronts the lawyers; he looks for them in his apartment and tells them the truth regarding him.
As Jimmy and Kim develop the plan, Gus Fring, who suspects that Lalo survived, tightens his security measures. He is right to stay on the alert, but the narco is not simply going to seek revenge, because first he wants to prove that the “pollero” has an underground laboratory, created secretly from the Salamanca clan. But this plan somehow involves Jimmy.
Lalo arrives at Jimmy and Kim’s house just as they talk to Howard, who has no idea of the new visitor’s identity. This matters little to Lalo, because it is enough for him that someone has seen his face to make the decision. Without warning, he shoots Howard Hamlin in the head to the horror of the lawyers. “Let’s talk,” says a smiling Lalo.
The future
Following the fall of Walter White’s (Bryan Cranston) drug empire, Jimmy flees New Mexico. With the new identity of Gene Takavic, the lawyer tries to go unnoticed as the manager of a Cinnabon store in the state of Omaha. But his plan is not perfect, because a person recognizes it. Finding out that his perfect getaway is at risk, Jimmy is regarding to apply for another identity. But, at the last minute, he changes his mind. Jimmy has a plan to change his destiny once once more.
We know that Jimmy survives Lalo Salamanca’s second visit, but Kim’s fate is a mystery, as is the situation that separates them. It is also unknown how this man, who has one foot in the law and the other in crime, will make the leap to become not only the “friend of the cartel”, but the “guy who knows another guy”; the broker from the underworld of Albuquerque that puts the one who needs something illegal done in contact with the people who can fulfill that desire for a price. Will there be a happy ending? The answer, every week in doses of one hour.
