Betis is negotiating the signing of Vítor Roque with Barcelona

The transfer market is set to be hectic until August 30. A delegation from Betis travelled to Barcelona on Monday to negotiate the signing of Barça striker Vitor Roque. Betis are seeking a loan with an option to buy the young Brazilian forward, who is only 19 years old. The green and white club has already signed its latest signing, also Brazilian, defender Natan, who could make his debut on Thursday in the Conference League qualifiers.

A delegation landed in Barcelona composed of Ramón Alarcón, CEO of the Verdiblancos, Manu Fajardo, the sports director, and Joaquin Sancheza collaborator in that sporting area. His presence could help convince the player that Betis is the ideal place to relaunch his career. Barcelona does not count on this player for whom they paid 30 million euros. Betis is negotiating with the Blaugrana club the formula to take the attacker who is only 19 years old. It could be a loan with an option to buy or co-ownership of the player.

The president of Betis, Angel Harohas stated that the Brazilian striker “is passionate about the possibility of coming” to the Seville club, although he has specified that “there are two other avenues open.” Haro admitted the “movements” “to complete the squad in the forward position,” where “the list is short,” and has reported the “three possibilities” that the sports management is considering, one of which is the loan of Vitor Roque for which he is “talking with the club and with the player.”

However, the Betis manager ruled out a formula other than a loan because “Betis is not considering a purchase of this magnitude this season”, as Barcelona “made a significant investment in this player”, so if they want to transfer him, they will opt for “other options” such as Yousoufa Moukoko, German striker for Borussia Dortmund.

The Betis president, who spoke to reporters at the Sao Paulo airport before flying to Slovakia, where Betis will play the first leg of the preliminary round of the Conference League against Ukrainian side Kryvbas on Thursday, referred to the transfer of Argentine centre-back Germán Pezzella, whose departure “has been peaceful, discussed and understood.”
