After just one year: Betim Fazljij’s return to FC St.Gallen is imminent
In the summer of 2022, the Rheintal defensive player Betim Fazliji switched from FC St.Gallen to FC St.Pauli. Now his hope of a return might soon be fulfilled. According to the player’s environment, the transfer will be completed by Saturday.

Betim Fazliji will probably be playing for FC St.Gallen once more soon. As this newspaper has already reported, Rebsteiner should try to return. The 24-year-old left St.Gallen for St. Pauli last summer for around CHF 900,000. There are increasing signs that the change is imminent, like the online portal «Rheintal24» knows from the environment of the player. St.Gallen and Fazliji should agree on the change, but the two clubs still need a financial agreement. The completion report should be made by next Saturday.
It is quite possible that FC St.Gallen will have to dig deeper into their pockets for the “return campaign”. It is unclear how long the term of Fazliji’s contract with Hamburg is. This has never been communicated before.
Fazliji made a total of 87 Super League appearances for FC St.Gallen from 2019 to 2022 as a defensive midfielder and defender – he often impressed thanks to his versatility. He played 19 games with St.Pauli, many of them as a substitute. However, he had not been used in the past eight games. With St. Pauli he finished the season in the 2nd Bundesliga in fifth place.
