Student at Faculdade Santa Marcelina de Muriaé (FASM) became champion and Best Player of the Free Fire tournament
Fifth-period student Systems Analysis and Development (ADS), from Faculdade Santa Marcelina de Muriaé (FASM), Daniel Souza, 21 years old, better known in competitions as “Torgan”, became champion and Best Free Fire Player (MVP) of the last edition of the OFF Cup, one of the main regional Free Fire tournaments, with the participation of professional players. The championship title was won with the L4 E-Sports team, with which he recently signed a professional contract. The MVP, on the other hand, was conquered by the individual performance of the player.

Torgan also collects other unprecedented feats in the “game”, holding important results, such as MVP of the Knockout Cup Season 5 and unprecedented champion of the UAI League 2023. In addition to winning the OFF Cup, the student was also considered the Best Player of the Legends of Gaming Brasil, one of the biggest tournaments between gamers in the world, which has not taken place since 2017.
The student started his trajectory in electronic sports while still in high school, and what was a game became a job. Since last year, Torgan has been working professionally in the area, reinforcing his commitment to constant work and ensuring the support of his family. “This has become something I might never have imagined. I didn’t have the dimension that a game might lead me to be recognized and also help me to achieve some goals in my journey. My biggest goal today is to be able to represent Brazil in the Free Fire World Cup that will be held in Bangkok, Thailand ”, he says.

With the recent contract signed with the professional team, Souza has reconciled studies, training and games. In the morning, he uses his time for training, while in the followingnoon, he does his mandatory internship. Already in the evening, he completes his graduation in ADS.
According to the deputy director of FASM Muriaé, Walker Nascimento, the achievements made by the student, in addition to bringing visibility to the institution, encourage future Free Fire champions who are at FASM Muriaé or who may be in the future. “We put students as protagonists and we are happy that he is taking our name to the highest place on the podium”, he says.
Student already holds other important awards such as MVP of Legends of Gaming Brasil and Nocaute Cup Season 5, as well as champion of the UAI League 2023
Torgan, on the other hand, sees the victory as an incentive for other students. “Representing FASM Muriaé and my team, and even bringing the title, shows that there are students able to represent the institution, reiterating that encouragement is necessary, as it can be a life change for other people”, said the champion.
The student wants to continue training to participate in the next championships and bring titles to the region of Muriaé and, consequently, for the institution. “FASM Muriaé has been encouraging me to go further and further, without leaving my studies aside and maintaining my commitment to sport”, added the student.
